AAM@60: The Diamond Exibitions by American Art Museum
The Diamond Exhibition honors six decades of building the Museum’s Permanent Collection through a selection of the works of 120 highlight artists. Chief Curator Anke Van Wagenberg chose significant artworks from the Permanent Collection for two sequential exhibitions showcasing a wide range of European and American artists from five centuries. While the scope of the Permanent Collection is broad, and includes prints by Goya, Picasso, Rembrandt and Whistler, there is also a strong focus on later twentieth century works on paper, particularly by leading post-war artists, as a result of the collecting interests of major donors to the collection. We invite you to enjoy the best of the Museum’s Permanent Collection at this milestone in our history! This 120-page paperback catalogue is 9” x 9”.
