Decisi che una sedia non poteva bastare by Harry Bertoia

$30.00

Thirty years after the death of Harry Bertoia (1915-1978), a major exhibition is dedicated to the artist from his native land, which intends to give an account of his creative versatility conducted between the worlds of art and that of design. Ample space is dedicated to the extraordinary collaboration with the Knoll company, which will start the creation of the famous series of steel rod chairs. Right at the height of the commercial success linked to the Bertoia chair he decided, drastically, to abandon design to dedicate himself completely to sculpture. The rest of the exhibition is therefore dedicated to sculpture which brings together, for the first time in Europe, all of his main experiences, from the first geometric works of the 1950s to his famous sound sculptures. The volume that accompanies the event, with critical essays and extensive historical documentation, is the most up-to-date monograph dedicated to this brilliant artist.
