New Photography I: Inaugural National Juried Exhibition by Academy Art Museum
The exhibition, New Photography I (April 14–July 15, 2018) is presented as the first in a series of publications documenting the New Photography exhibition series. Director Ben Simons, Chief Curator Anke Van Wagenberg and consulting photographer and Associate Professor of Photography at Anne Arundel Community College, Matthew Moore, developed the inaugural national juried exhibition at the Academy Art Museum. Sarah Stolfa, President, Chief Executive Officer and Artistic Director of the Philadelphia Photo Arts Center, acted as the first Juror of New Photography I. This 58-page paperback catalogue features the 10 photographers chosen for this exhibition: Kyohei Abe, Juliette Angotti, Adrian Martinez Gomez, Eui-Jip Hwang, Michael Joseph, Todd Lauther, Mehves Lelic, Antonio McAfee, Parker Reinecker, Matt Roberts and George Underwood.
